It’s time for Good News !!
Dear Kybernautes,
we are very happy to share a special result with you!
The eighth edition of the Theater, Art and New Technologies Festival “The Wonders of the Possible” is recognized and supported by the MIBACT-FUS Italian Culture Ministry, within the National Theater Festival section.
In these recent years, the LMDP Festival has grown a lot, also thanks to the support of all of you and of the international community that grows in numbers from year to year; thanks to the students of Cagliari high schools who actively participate and to the network of partners who support us, including TISCALI the main media partner of the Festival!
For eight years we have been doing the only Festival in Italy dedicated to theater and performing media: in 2019 we obtained the EFFE Label recognition and Kyber teather becames an associated partner of the Emap -European Media Art Platform / Emare network.
Also this year, despite the pandemic, more than 200 requests have arrived from digital artists who have applied to our International Open Call launched in May on the major international web platforms.
Digital creatives, artists and theater companies and new technologies, many of whom are under 35, have sent their proposals from France, Germany, Brazil, United States, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Iran, Poland, Holland and many other countries.
This recognition heartens us!
It was difficult and pioneering to propose in Cagliari an International Festival about art, theater and new technologies in times and conditions not very prone to this kind of scenic innovation.
We are happy with the result obtained and proud to contribute to this change and we thanks all the foreign and national artists, all the university teachers and experts who have performed in recent years and who have shared with us their knowledge and skills on stage in Spazio OSC / Dom-OSC.
The artistic director Ilaria Nina Zedda and the technological director Marco Quondamatteo
