Theatre performance for children
Teatro García Lorca Company (Nuoro)
Moby Dick is a theatrical tale of the legendary white whale that, through literary, mythological, and fairytale references, reconnects us with the mystery of the sea and the beauty of its wild and free creatures.
Humans and whales have observed and studied each other since the dawn of time — first with wonder and curiosity, then with challenge and hostility, and finally with a necessary and peaceful tolerance.
This is a theatrical and metaphorical vision of the relationship between humankind and Nature, seen through the eyes of the sperm whale Moby Dick — the sea monster, keeper of memory and mystery — who enters into dialogue with various human and fantastical characters.
After the show, there will be a theatre workshop aimed at encouraging students to reflect and interact with the themes and expressive languages explored during the performance.
