Orchestrating Spaces is a performative research project on the concept of belonging.
It seeks new ways to explore the value of social roles in relation to space—whether inhabited or crossed.
The project currently gathers community-specific experiences in Sweden, Finland, and Italy through a shared experimental format that merges real and virtual dimensions.

It is a constantly evolving performative device, where the central question is how perceived social roles transform the spaces we move through—and vice versa.

In the performance, space becomes expanded, multi-shaped, and unpredictable, as the artists on stage lead the audience through a layered journey of places—experienced or discovered, real or imagined.
The bodies that interact with these spatial pluralities are accomplices—social, anatomical, and political—in their effort to affirm and justify their existence.

THE ARTISTS
Giovanna Rovedo and Sharon Estacio, dancers with backgrounds in anthropology and holistic medicine, view the body as agent, observer, and resonance chamber of the context it inhabits.
Collaborating since 2015, their projects explore and document the mobility and multiplicity of identity on a transnational and transcultural level.
Their performative bodies are activated to recognize how identity evolves in relation to geographical and cultural boundaries.
